Val-Kill Cottage is open for tours year round by the National Park Service. Please check here for the latest tour times or to schedule a group.  We highly recommend you reserve your tour online ahead of time here - as tours often sell out early in the day.

Visit Exhibits in Stone Cottage

The Partnership was the proud sponsor of the new permanent Stone Cottage Exhibits: Eleanor Roosevelt and Val-Kill: Emergence of a Political Leader. Explore home videos on the Roosevelt's at Val-Kill and original artifacts about this pivotal time in Eleanor Roosevelt's life. Deep thanks to lead benefactors Lia & William Poorvu, Claudine & Fred Bacher, The Muriel F. Siebert Foundation, with additional support from the Roosevelt Vanderbilt Historical Association as well as countless supporters of The Eleanor Roosevelt Val-Kill Partnership like you! Open year round free to all.

Explore Grounds and Gardens

Take a stroll through the grounds, gardens, or hike one of Eleanor's favorite Val-Kill paths where she walked several times a day. The Val-Kill landscape has been restored to the way that Eleanor enjoyed them as part of an ongoing Landscape Treatment Plan (designed by NPS and the Olmsted Center). Pets welcome!
